I am looking to go to hogs for the cause this year?

I was looking to see if there was any other options of hotels to stay in besides the one's in the FQ?

That's your best option. Don't stay on Causeway.

Parkview Guest House by Audubon Park is nice. Just a quick drive up Carrollton.

Google says Oakview B&B and Bayou St John B&B are the closest you can get. Or just bring a tent and sleep out there.

Is this about fat chicks? I'd definitely pay money to watch a bunch of balloon shaped bitches running around

Ashton's Bed and BreakfastIt's been a number of years since we last visited, but from the photos on the website, it appears that Patrick and Karma Ashton have done well to keep the place in lovely condition. It's an antebellum home that's wonderfully restored.

There are a lot of B+Bs on Esplanade really close (Edgar Degas house and Melrose Mansion to name a few)

Honestly, there are no hotels "really close" to the park, you will have to drive or cab from anywhere you stay.

However, there is pretty good public transit to City Park, I would stay downtown and catch the City Park-Canal Street Streetcar or the Esplanade 91 Bus there, then plan on cabbing back after. Both are safe and easily accessible, especially during the day.
