This team leaves too many damn people on base and depends on the crucial error by the opponent to produce a big inning.

IMO, they mirror the 2011 football team. The other team will eventually make that mistake that allows the floodgates to open. The offense is not gonna pound you into submission until this happens.

I don't think it's a major thing going forward. It is disappointing to get the winning run to third twice in the extra frames and be unable to get him home. Top part of the lineup was pretty bad tonight too.

We'll be fine.

The offense is actually good this year.
Just doesn't show up in every baseball game.
Baseball is not the same as every other sport.

Just a few weeks ago there were threads on this board praising the offense.

This place is so bipolar.

The team will be fine. We have a starting line up right now of I think 1 guy batting just below .300

sometimes you can't hit in the clutch it happens its baseball, but you have to be excited about this lineup.

Fraley can hit well
Laird one of the best Averages on the team
Bregs don't even need to explain it.
Chinea (I don't know why he is here) but he can hit for power, usually pretty solid against lefties.
Hale really hitting the ball well, has only had one game without a hit so far this season
Stevenson, he was one of the best hitters last season.
Scivicque can hit for power and probably will have a 300+ average
Foster he has a good bat, but has gone through server cold streaks at times
Zardon is know for his hitting not his glove.

There isn't a hole in this lineup, there is no guy you can relax and just through strikes. All 9 of our guys can hit for a high average, and 6/7 of our 9 guys can hit for power. This is a Scary lineup, but games like this makes LSU baseball fans look poorly on our team.

They hit some hard balls right at people. Sometimes that happens.

If they were struggling to put it in play or grounding out an excessive amount of times, I would be worried...but that's not the case. They'll be fine.

I said the exact same thing in the in-game thread and was told not to post anymore. This team has had trouble getting guys in from third and less than 2 outs all year. Actually for a couple of years now. We can say we were snake bit and that we hit the ball hard but right at them. It's just excuses. Get a hit or drive it out of the infield and get the run home. We don't do that nearly consistent enough. And it cost us and will continue to cost us if guys don't start hitting in the clutch. Cause the pitching won't be this good every game.

we have a potential to be 2013 good. 3 Solid starters who should get better as the year goes on. A pitcher who could play a huge impact by seasons end.

An offense that could be one of the best in the SEC year round.

Lots of people treat baseball like football on this board. How many balls where hit on the screws that found gloves tonight, a good bit. Bregmen is starting to find his stride but that LF is really good.

Be patient, I think we win tomorrow. I think we will be good enough to be a top 8 seed no matter what happens tumorrow.

our current BA RISP is .322 That is also with 8 sac flies.

Note: this is coming into tonight game so it obviously drops but it isn't that bad. I don't know where to find past years or compare to other SEC teams, but I bet we are in the top 4 of the SEC for RISP.
