Does anyone still watch this show?

I watched about 3 episodes back when it was really getting huge and never saw the appeal.
While there's already a thread on this I have a question. IN those new zaxby's commercials, the old guy just keeps saying "hey" over and over again. Is that his catchphrase or something? It almost makes me angry watching that stupid arse commercial it's so damn stupid.

I watch it. I missed the boat on it originally, but randomly caught an episode during one of the hundred marathons on A&E. I liked it and immediately started recording all of them. So I caught up more or less and have watched the last few seasons as they aired.
I enjoy the show, but it's pretty laugable (bad) a lot of times, and they don't even try to pretend it isn't almost completely scripted/fake anymore. I do like it though.

It's run it's course just like Swamp People
They made their money on that deal and I'm sure the merchandise they have sold from it was worth it.

I watched the first season and that was enough. I just don't see the appeal of it anymore

It had higher ratings than American Idol in the series finale last year.

I don't watch it or American Idol.

I watch it if I see it on, but only for a few minutes or so. It's worth a laugh or two most of the time

Same here. Definitely didn't care for it at first when it was all the rage. Posters on the Outdoor Board lambasted me for bad talking it. But after watching it a few times and with lowered expectations I finally started liking it. It's harmless and amusing and kid-friendly, the latter of which is very important these days.

FIFY. The Robertson family are nothing but a bunch of grifters.

To be fair, while A&E did take advantage of LA Film Tax laws, most of the revenue they get is in endorsements and all the crap they sell. Hell, that Walmart deal made them like $500M or something crazy like that. I don't have any problems with the A&E using LA's shitty tax codes to make money. It's the states fault not the companies imo.

I heard they were crowd sourcing to pay for their daughter's cleft palate surgery.
No link, saw it on Facebook.

This is total bullshite. They asked for prayers from their followers, not money. The surgery is going to be extremely gruesome for the girl, as they will have to break her jaw to make the repairs per the article. The article I saw never once requested donations of any kind besides the power of prayer.

From a research on reality TV and human behavior from 2 professors at Ohio State University:
The study found that those who watched reality TV were far more concerned with social status and vengeance, and significantly less motivated by idealism, morality or honor.
