Heading there for a wedding soon, and we'll have some time to kill during two of the days. Aside from golf (would love to but takes too long), what are some fun things to see or do there? TIA

ah

palm springs, ca

Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. A place where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capestrano. I'm talkin' about a li'l place called Palm Springs.

I'm going next week and will bump this. But, it looks like nothing but golf and tennis.

Take tram up to the top of whatever the mountain is it goes to the top of. It rotates. Pretty cool.

The aerial tram way is really cool. Takes you from the desert biome to tundra as it moves up the mountain.

Not much to do there besides play golf. You can take the tram up to the top of San Jacinto and there is a casino just off of I-10 at the western entrance to the valley (just past the wind farms). That's about it.

They do have a big outlet mall. So there's that.

I'm there right now. The tennis tournament will still be going on next week and if you're a fan at all I would recommend going. The golf is great, and I would definitely recommend playing if you can find time.

At least it's not going to be summertime when you go. It gets hot as hell. Not much to do there. Spas and all of that stuff.

Not a big fan personally. To me it's what Vegas would be like if there weren't casinos.

i was disappointed in the lack of springs, but the overwhelming number of palms made up for it.

the golf there is awesome. The mountain was cool to venture up but other than that, like people said, not really much to do. Its hot as hell there when I went in early May

It's the best place to see mid century modern architecture. It has some famous buildings for sure.

Heading there next weekend for a lot of golf & the pro tennis tourney. I love the place, but then again I'm playing 6-7 rounds of golf in 4 days. Weather right now (March-April) is perfect. Mountain gondola is worth it especially when there's snow up top. Thursday nights there is a regular festival in old downtown Palm Springs. 3 casinos. I stay in Indian Wells
