Texans are trading QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to the New York Jets for a late-round conditional draft pick, per a league source.

Fitzpatrick going to his 23rd NFL team in the last 5 years.

I guess the Hoyer deal is in the books.

Some of these moves are just mind boggling.

Fitzpatrick seems like a real good guy and plays with a lot of passion, which I respect. Unfortunately he just isn't very good. It's kind of amazing Texans got anything in return for him.

I'd take him over Geno. They have receivers and someone who might be able to get the ball to them.

He's mediocre, but he's still an upgrade to that roster. Marshall will get a shite ton of targets.

And at least Fitzpatrick will be able to figure out that Pacific time is 3 hours behind eastern time. Baby steps for the Jets.

Why all these teams keep signing him is beyond me. He is very mediocre at best.

He's a veteran who can run a NFL offense. He has value on a roster and can keep you competitive if called to do so. There are only so many good QB's that you have to take what you can get at times.

And end thread. Well said. Many people, for whatever reason, just don't comprehend this.

I'll defend Geno Smith. The Jets had a dumb-arse policy where they stayed on East Coast time, while on West Coast trips. Being the fact that your smart phone automatically adjusts to the time zone its in, I could see where that would screw up most people.
