Did anyone think AD would be this good when we drafted him?

I knew he was going to be good, but damn I did not see him being this good offensively

Even if you thought he'd be this good, no way to predict this fast

Not like this. I thought he'd be an elite shot blocker/rebounder. I did not think he would be an elite scorer.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Running out of the house after the ping pong balls dropped. I was filled a type of enthusiasm that doesn't come often bc I knew we got something special. After watching him the whole
year at Kentucky and coming into the PMAC @ LSU to destroy the Tigers, then from day 1 with the Hornets/Pels against the Spurs I knew we had something. Once he starts putting up 40, 20, 10's / 50, 20's, or 30, 30's then I can say I'll never saw it coming. I knew he would be what he is. The next step though, will officially blow my mind.

I think most knew we had something special. But I don't think any of us saw him becoming this good so quickly.

What I thought he'd be? The exact same thing as KG trajectory wise.

I didn't think he'd hit 20/10 until year 3 (he was raw offensively). I thought he'd start out something like 12/8 rookie year, -> 16/10 2nd year -> 20/11 3rd year.

I didn't think he'd go over 2.5 blocks until his 2nd contract when he was like 24-25.

I didn't think he'd be this efficient, ever.

I thought he was special. I thought he could win multiple defensive player of the year awards.

I never thought he would be an MVP candidate

Ever? S

I knew during last season he would end up being one the best, if not the best player in the NBA.

I thought his offense would be much better than most thought but nothey to where no one can stop him as a 21 year old.

I thought he'd be a top 10 player. I think people didn't give him enough credit for his offense at Kentucky. He was pretty solid offensivelt

The only part i didn't expect is the range from 20 foot in. I never thought he would have a stroke like that.

I still feel bad for saying his floor was Marcus Camby, which seemed completely reasonable at the time.

I find that hard to believe.

I don't no if people realize the historical perspective kind of a season he's having. Not to put words in your mouth, but even if you thought it'd be in his prime, you're basically saying you thought he'd be the player who could have a PER that was only ever matched by Wilt, Lebron, and MJ.

That's lofty goals there.

I was jumping up and down in my living room when the Pels (Hornets) won the lottery. But I have to admit, I didn't see this coming. Not at this level at least.

Didn't think he'd have a consistent jumper at this stage of his career.

I knew he had a lot of potential when he was drafted. But after Watching him play his first NBA game against the Spurs (he put up 22 points and eight rebounds), I knew he would one day destroy the league. Last night was his best offensive game of his career. It wasn't that he just scored 43 points, he had six assists. There were some questionable passes he made, but there will always be. He has quadruple double potential night in night out. watching him play has been fantastic.
