#Saints have restructured bonus of Junior Galette, per @RapSheet, saving $10M in cap space. Now, unofficially, #underthecap

OH BOY!

Let the FA signings begin

According to OTC, we are currently "14.2mil" over
Official moves waiting on numbers:
1. Galette restructure (~10mil)
2. Graham restructure (~3.3mil)
3. Colston pay cut (~3mil)
4. Evans pay cut or cut (~4-6mil)
5. Bunkley pay cut (~2.85mil)
6. Hawthorne Trade/cut (2.99mil)
7. Bush trade/cut (1.95mil)
- After all of these: ~15.9mil under the cap (thats evans cut)

Moves I hope we do:
1. Corey White Cut (1.5mil)
- That would make us 17.4mil under the cap

Moves we probably won't touch:
1. Ben Grubbs (3.6mil)

Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet 9m9 minutes ago #Saints restructured LB Junior Galette’s contract, I’m told. Turned his $12.5M due into signing bonus. Created space. Solidifies roster spot

Can someone please answer why we are keeping Evans and his 8 million bucks against the cap? Dude was a fricking turnstile last year and ranked as one of the bottom 3 guards in the league by PFF.

Because they aren't any much better and we need his leadership

Plus if we get a center that actually has a pulse you will see both Grubbs and Evans play at a higher level

Where was the announcements of Graham and Evans? As far as I know they were never official, just rumored.

Also Graham only saves $3.3m as his roster bonus is only $5m and we save 2/3rds of it.

You likely restructured his base also. It defaults to restructure base and roster bonus. You just have to set base to zero when you do it. Took me a minute to figure it out.

Yeah and we ain't done.

I said earlier we'd be anywhere from $10 to over $20m under depending on how far we wanted to go. The answer looks like very far. And I applaud it.

Also funny how I did a thread called from $20m over to $20m under and that included touching Brees for a savings of $8m. We are looking at $20m under without him.

Damn.

I thought we signed that older RB from Arizona that made a TD against us in playoffs a few years ago?

OTC calculated it already
