I have AT&T and I live in Mississippi. Do Sprint and Verizon have good coverage here? Are they good carriers?

I travel back and forth from Jackson to the Coast, but sometimes my work takes me to small towns in North Mississippi.

What about C-Spire??? Most of my family members that pretty much stay in the state and don't travel much have C-Spire and have never really said anything bad about them.

Sprint - When I had them as a cell provider I always had service for calls. The data lacked in speed most times though.

Can't speak for Verizon as I've never used them.

I was thinking really hard about a switch to Cricket after I ended up on a solo phone plan instead of a family plan. It's $45 a month for unlimited talk/text and 5GB data before getting throttled and they use AT&T towers. All that said, I ended up staying with AT&T because my bill is < $60 with my company discount and I didn't feel like paying the early termination fee of my contract. I'd still probably think about the Cricket experiment if I didn't have a contract still with AT&T. The issue is that customer service is apparently shite (part of the reason it's so cheap I'm sure) and I just didn't want the hassle of migrating my phone number and all of that.

A friend of mine used to have Sprint and her coverage was awful. This was 10 years ago, though.

Personally, I'd rather use a Motorola Razr than a Samsung product.

I guess I should have been more specific. I do travel to Louisiana a good bit, so I'm not really a homebody. I would need good coverage.

Go to opensignal.com and type in the various zip codes or cities you live in and travel to.

C-Spire is good in Mississippi but my friend who came to LSU got dropped by them as they weren't in their zone.

For solid coverage throughout rural mississippi, as well as fast service in cities, you should go with Verizon.

That's what I hear. I just kind of need a change, tbh. I've been with AT&T for a really long time. I want to try a different carrier.

I like that Verizon has Motorola products.
