Saw Courtesy GMC in lafayette is advertising 12k off msrp.

MSRP is 44k.

Thoughts on the deal in the title??

Engine?

Leather?

Any options beyond what is in the SLE package?

Seems decent...

Built in Mexico so it should be cheap. I would check it out before planning to spend $32k. Courtesy doesn't exactly have very up-front advertising.

Have the same truck and that sounds like a good deal. You most likely will be told that you do not qualify for the total discount. Be prepared to haggle if you want it all.

I just called and they said its for the Platinum edition only (49k msrp). The Ad says SLE Crew Cabs.

Buying a new truck is such a pain in the arse

Negotiate via email and pit two dealers against the other. Don't be afraid but be courteous.

the sticker on my 2008 Sierra SLE with leather was about $32k. It's insane how much higher they are now.

Told you that about Courtesy. I sell Fords and compete with their Ford lot. We don't advertise numbers like they do because the fact of the matter is not every customer will qualify for the same rebates. It might not be totally dishonest because they say towards the bottom "*Including all available rebates", but guess what, NOBODY is qualified for ALL available rebates.

They have to honor the ad. The ad may have said only one available and maybe that has sold, I would look into it more.

Watch them and their shady advertising. When I bought my truck from them a few years ago I received an email offer for 60 months no interest. I even called and talked to one of the salesman to verify that they were running a 60 month no interest promo and he said yes they were. So I drive all the way down there from Hammond & pick out my truck. Halfway through the paper work the finance manager starts going through the finance portion of the paper work and mentions something about 4.9% over 60 months. I told him to stop right there and that I had been told that they were running a 60 month no interest promo and that I had verified it before driving down there. He informed me that that promo was no longer available and the best they could do was the 4.9% over 60 months. I bitched and told them that the only way I would buy it at that rate would be if they backed out the anticipated interest that I would pay over 5 years from the price of the truck. They did that for me and I ended up getting a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty for 1/2 price too. I probably still got screwed, but it could have been worse.

It's those kinds of dealerships that give car salesman bad names. If I talk to you on the phone, I will not tell you I can do something that I cannot. That's a recipe on how to either not sell a vehicle or only get that customer once. I want to keep you as a customer for life.
