How many of them are 5's or will be 4's when rivals gets a chance to cut them down after hearing this?

But I will take them all.

Lawrence, Oliver, and Alexander are all top 50 players. Logan is a big, strong DT. And Guidry is a D lineman who runs down the field on kickoff coverage...that's impressive. I want all 5.

The funny thing about this is, we're after 2016 & 2017 guy's, treating them like royalty and yet Devin White is saying "we're not doing as much as Bama."

I'm ready for O and crew to tear this shite up.

I'm willing to bet White will get the royalty treatment whenever he wants to visit LSU. Alabama has a recruiting system with more resources than any other program. They can devote more effort to specific targets than anyone else. If attention is the deciding factor for recruits, then Alabama is going to be successful more often than not since they devote more resources to recruiting than anyone else.

With O Steele and Wilson the Wall in Louisiana is not going to have holes in it now. We do need to put in another 2-3 million a year but we have a force for recruiting now, not that we were bad to begin with.

Just need a good season this year

Corey Raymond can be added to that list. He's as good as the others mentioned.

Not to mention the OOS guys we are recruiting!! I'm willing to bet LSU will have the top rated front seven this year and maybe for the next few?!?! Love the Dline, I think it makes or breaks the defense. Secondary plays much much better with a good front seven, that's no secret but imagine our secondary with a dominate front seven?!?! Coach O was a big time get and imo will turn this D into a mini pro Defense. They gonna be real good! Can't wait

When was the last time we offered these many DL prospects in one year?

Probably 2009.

We ended up with Sam Montogery, Josh Downs, Michael Brockers, Akiem Hicks, and Bennie Logan. Plus, Mingo successfully converted.

Guys we offered but didn't sign with LSU:

DE - Dyron Dye

DT - Jamarkus McFarland, Chris Davenport, and William Campbell

Bennie Logan was the only one of the offers that was rated lower than a four star.

Of course, that was LSU's #1 class which panned out pretty well on the defensive side of the ball.

How many DT's are we realistically prepared to take in this class? 5 almost has to be the cutoff I would think.

I think 5 to 7 plus 3lb

Just my guess. We are so deep everywhere else. I would say TE but the Upvhurch moves tells me Miles would rather throw to a Fb than a TE ??

If we take 4 or more D-Tackles, I want the first four to be:
- Lawrence
- Oliver
- Alexander
- Jones

Yes, Jones has more "bust potential" than any of the others. But his upside is so high, I would take that risk (knowing we had three other top guys in the group with him).
