Been watching Lost on Netflix

Well, I think the first two seasons are way, way better than the others.

So that's not great news.

Don't listen to him, Lost is amazing from start to finish. My first ever binge watch and I wish I could do it all again for the first time.


Speaking of, someone should make a rewatch thread for this like the Fringe one.


ETA: You should try to break Byron Bojangles Lost binge watch record. Legend has it he didn't sleep for 4 days.

I enjoyed the whole series but it definitely takes an unexpected turn somewhere after the first couple of seasons.

All time favorite and it's not close.

This is correct. It does pick up again in 6 or so, but everything between that is blah.

Where does it rank? It was a fun experience, mostly for the community of fans even if some don't judge it appropriately, as a general show, in a top tier somewhere, as a science fiction show...somewhere in the middle. Great experience, it was super creative for the most part, but it just never comes together as a full narrative for me.

Not nearly as good as Fringe, X-Files, or Twin Peaks in terms of shows with big mysteries to uncover. (And this is really one of the biggest points of contention for super fans and the skeptical bunch. Super Fans will say the show is not about the mystery but the characters Someone should have told the writers if that was the case. But if their assessment is then that's EXACTLY why the show comes off uneven and jumbled.)

3 has one of the best episodes, but also the worst and possibly 2nd worst as well. Also more filler than the rest, IMO.

You're going to enjoy Desmond more and more as you watch. Lost is great.

I'd say for me, it's personally my favorite series of all time. It was just a great show, and there will never be another show like it. Really, it came at the perfect time.
