Anybody know if he is suspended or off the team? Looks like Miles said he didn't meet academic requirements asked of him by Miles and Co and won't be counted on. Imo we need this guy in the rotation badly. I do think Bebe will make an impact on our d line this year but having TV would def help.

I think wasting scholarships on kids that can't cut it in the classroom pisses me off more than players that make shitty decisions and get kicked off team.

My guess is that Miles is trying to motivate this guy to succeed in the classroom by holding him out so that he avoids the fate of Rashard Robinson.
So basically, he's grounded until his next report card.

Orgeron will stay on this kid and attempt to teach him life lessons to be successful on and off the field. It will be a pet project of his. Valentine will either comply or move on.

Some things are bigger than football. I think Les is trying to make Valentine and the rest of his team understand that.

Welter was clearly a selfish, tPOS. He didn't make the grades and caused TIGRLEE to have to watch an entire year of an LSU defense that didn't have ANY white guys. What a nightmare.

When you can get the players we supposedly can get, it is absolutely a waste of time. Now, for all those pumpers saying we had plenty of D-Linemen and weren't worried when he had 1 signed going into signing day......

Look at next years slime class. Still not worried.

You need to lighten up, baw. Internet isn't such serious business.

I have no problem with Miles offering Valentine. It was late in the process and we had a scholarship to give. Knowing our DL situation, LAST YEAR, it was worth the gamble.
But Valentine isnt living up to his end of the deal, so he finds himself in this predicament. Some guys learn from mistakes, others dont.
Jeremy Hill found himself in this situation and made the best of it and now seems to have a very promising NFL career. So did the Honey Badger who only seemed to get it, after Miles kicked him off the squad.
I trust Miles on these types of decisions and wish R. Robinson and Valentine the best moving forward. Accountability vs second/third chances is a very slippery slope for the meager. (Urban Meyer comes to mind).
Miles seems to have a sixth sense on how to help his kids with either very tough love or understanding.
Miles is a secretive guy so who knows what will happen with Valentine, but my guess is that LSU is moving on without Valentine.

Let me guess, some fat white kid that failed dodgeball who watches sports on the tube all day everyday because you think that doing that will some how infuse testosterone into your system and perhaps make you forget all the times the rough boys picked on you and made you cry?
Amirite?
