Curious why he never saw the court again after his hot start, gave us a nice quick 5 points when he was playing. Was he hurt?

He was seriously lost on the defensive end. He was the anti Darcy. All O and no D.

Na man. Malone played about as well as tuba did. I'm pretty avid basketball guy. Been involved in college ball a lot. He brought nothing to table. Not even size

I disagree. From what we've seen this season Darcy is a better 1 on 1 defender, moves better off the ball, can actually switch on defense, can catch a pass without it flying out of bounds, and can occasionally score. And Odo is a senior, so even if all things were equal Malone should be getting the minutes.

I like Odo, but he didn't improve at all this season and Malone improved a lot.

Well he played 26 minutes today, coach.

Look, I know it's easy to bash Malone. I get it.

But today he played 26 minutes in a win @ARK. He had 3 assists, 4 rebs, 1 block and even scored a point.

With Mickey out, is this the game to pile on Malone?!? I don't see it.

I think he has a lot to bring in the future, but he seems lost out there and not fully in sync with the O or D. He has potential but I think it's just too soon for him.

I agree. Malone really didn't play bad today. He took that one stupid shot but I think his defensive presence is better than people give him credit for. Just because he can't jump out of the building like Martin and Mickey doesn't mean he can't alter shots and be a presence. He made some plays to alter shots all game and Arkansas has very good big men.

Getting this win without Mickey is very refreshing. I think this team needs Martin more than anyone at this point IMO. He's the most valuable player as of late.

yeah, I think Epps is going to surprise a lot of people if he works hard this off-season.

We might look back and realize Jones' class of Patterson, Robinson, Epps, and Gray was underrated

I didn't say there was a better option dumbass. He played 26 minutes cuz we had no choice. Let me guess. EPPS played the minutes today because of how good he is right? Dumbass

Darcy had a decent game defensively. He took a dumb jumper but for the most part realizes he's not going to take any shots on offense and is there for screens and rebounds mainly.

It's not all on one guy but Portis had a minimum of 10 offensive rebounds. Malone might be tall but cant block out to save his life or his team. Defense isn't just about blocked shots

Malone wasn't the only guy trying to block out on Portis. A good number of them were when LSU was in the zone, which is bad for defensive rebounds. Plus a lot of "long" rebounds.
