Saints seem reluctant to cut some guys that I think are very cuttable.

Our run D seemed to get pretty bad after he got hurt

Bunk and Colston had high dead money numbers (as does Evans which is why I can see him stay with a pay cut).
If they are coming back for close to the dead money numbers it makes more sense to keep them.
PT had very little dead money, sadly. Bush and White better watch out too.

Bunkley agreed to take pay cut to stay with #Saints, similar to what he did last year.

Bunkley cut his 2014 salary from $4.5mil to $1.65mil last year. Saved us ~3mil.
I can definitely see something similar.
4.4mil base salary

Yup that's what I figured. Likely around the dead money number.
It's very good depth for our run d. Now he just needs to stay healthy dammit.

As someone said our run d went to shite when he went down.

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

Looks like we saved 3 more mil
@LarryHolder: Can confirm Brodrick Bunkley agreed to take paycut to stay w: #Saints, via source. Told deal mirror image of last year. Near $3M in savings

Looks like he's not making too much more than the vet min.

So we started almost 24 over the cap now we are 10.2 over. Loomis is being Loomis
Posted on 3/6/15 at 12:53 pm to Meateye
Not even considering other moves, Galette puts us at or under the cap whether traded or restructured.
Then you have a bunch of other possible moves(I just listed in another thread).
On Bunk, yeah the pay cut about equals the dead money and he couldn't take much less because of the vet minimum.

Exactly. You have to fill out the roster so if you can fill the spot with a similar cost as cutting that player, you might as well keep them. Especially if they perform when healthy.

Bunk is definitely not awful. He is solid against the run.......problem is the fact that he can't stay on the field due to injuries.
