Going to East Miss. JUCO. Were we close to landing this guy? Listed at 6'3 240.

PE T-Shirt All American. Looked the part, but didn't even make plays in his high school highight tapes.

He actually committed to LSU early in the process. Should probably be playing DE, he's stiff and not great in space.

Committed to us for a while, then de-committed claiming that the coaches had stopped contacting him all together after he committed.

Upon completion of his junior year, the acclaim for him here in Florida was off the charts. Not often do you see a junior be hailed as the best player in the state - but that was the case for Daub. The two main guys here that follow Florida prep recruiting just couldn't say enough positive things about him.
What happened between then and his senior year? I don't have a clue - but it was clear his play on the field had regressed a great deal. And as to what has happened since he went to FSU, I also have no clue. Drugs? Injury? Weight? Desire? Academic issues? No idea.
But somewhere under all that "baggage" lies an amazingly talented football player.

Wasn't he a five star when he committed? It was a strange commitment then decom.

I recall someone saying that LSU didn't want to have to deal with his handlers... Nice hair though

Ya he was a top 10 player on 247 when he committed.

He was a part of the '14 class IIRC.

He's the perfect reason you don't fall in love with 5 stars early on.
I think he was the #1 LB when he committed to LSU.

Apparently he wasn't contacted by his studying either nor was he committed not it...

He was the #4 overall player when he just randomly committed as he was passing through, in what we already knew was going to be a loaded class. Strange doesn't even decribe it.

Wow. Nothing like an internet retard making random, uneducated assumptions on a message board.

I was out here during his HS recruitment. It seems as if he( KD) fell into love with his own greatness early. He transferred high schools a couple times before his senior year. Guess the one he was originally at could not show off his greatness.
Seems like we didn't miss out on much here. Some of these recruits think they are gods and should be treated as such. Wish him the best.
