re: Final Four in 2016? Is Ben Simmons all that great?

Basketball normally calls the seasons by the year in which almost all relevant action takes place (spring year not fall)... Just for your information.
I was all at first too...

That's what I said. Call the year we went to the Final Four the 2005-06 season, or just 2006. If you say 2005, I think about the season before.

Not how it works.
But I wouldn't expect tadelatt to understand that.

I know I am nitpicking, but?

Don't pay much attention to this. #Domangue4Closer

All you butthurt fans are jumping on this guy because he had the years mixed up in a sport where you play 1 season in 2 calendar years as if you couldn't understand his point.
Good work tad, I like the analysis. Hopefully the results next year are as similar as 2005/2006.

Predicting a final four is such played out bullshite. They are circumstances during the season that can derail any team from making a run. Plus once you make the tournament, a team needs to get hot, stay injury free and dodge upsets. Its extremely difficult to do. Lets get in the tournament first next year and see how it falls.

Your baseball predictions have been terrible so far
HAHA, I was just looking at them and I am a little overzealous but I think things will start to catch up. The hitting is getting better each week and once it warms up and those winds start to change, uh oh....
Give it time.

Accuracy matters. It's not that tough to get right.

Sorry you're not intelligent enough to understand what he was talking about.

Also would like to mention that whoever thinks Martin and Mickey are gone, hasn't seen what the scouts are saying.
They are hoping Mickey stays and gains more muscle next season and then they are projecting him in the first round. As it stands, he might not get drafted.

Link?
Mickey has been here 2 years, if he hasn't gained the muscle yet, I doubt he does over the next year.

I apologize, he has moved up a little. Still not a first rounder like they project him in 2016.

Outside of the context of his shot blocking, his post defense is just average, as he displays an awkward combination of subpar fundamentals and inconsistent effort. Also of issue is the fact that he is a below average rebounder for his size, grabbing just 8.9 rebounds per 40 minutes pace adjusted despite his athleticism and reputation for aggressive play. Considering the fact that he is a severely undersized power forward, scouts will want to see him prove that he is capable of compensating for his weaknesses with sheer effort and grit guarding the post and on the defensive boards.
For these reasons, Mickey's NBA prospects are mixed. Lacking the size of a Larry Sanders or even a Joel Anthony, Mickey has an uphill battle ahead of him in proving to scouts that he can at least thrive as a shot blocker at the next level if he is unable to develop other areas of his game. Most importantly, Mickey must embrace his role as a defensive stopper as a sophomore and work harder both guarding the post and hitting the boards. Even if Mickey is unable to improve considerably, he will likely remain intriguing to scouts looking for length and athleticism on the defensive end of the floor.
