I love the outdoorsy stuff as much as anyone (my hunting camp is in Boyce and my dad lives on Cotile lake), but that is definately not what young people are interested in 24/7.

And don't make it out to be some "village" there are plenty of people living there.

Why did I think that was in Lafayette?

Is that Diamond Grill place still open downtown? It's decent. And I haven't eaten there yet, but there's a place in Boyce (color me shocked) called Janohns that always post some amazing meals on Facebook!

I always end up at Finnigans too. I'm a fake hipster.

DG is still open last I heard... I enjoy the food, but find they try and make it classy by simply inflating the price.

To be fair, Fennegans is the best choice of the bunch. Papsmere for $3

Foam partys back in the day were legit.

The one off Air Base was the last one I think, it closed a couple years ago.
Disc golf at Buhlow, and Keys Park, both Pineville though.

Video games can be played anywhere with electricity, brah.

We got bars. Not good ones. Not 50, but we got bars.

We had that place out in Pineville on Lake Buhlow with the go karts, miniature golf, batting cages, but it went out of business.

So, you tell me Sticky? What do we need (besides, obviously, more bars)?

Yeah, I guess I'm over that, but check out Spirits Friday night lists. I've seen some great bands there.

Paintball place on way to Ville Platte. Not sure if in Rapides or Evangeline. Passed it on way back from Yellowfin's place. There could be one in Ellic and I would not know about it.

frisbee golf park?

37 holes at Buhlow. Already hosted the State Championship. 9 at Kees park. 9 at Martin park. 6 at La. College.

Not sure.

Bars that cater to young people. A barcadia type place. A real go kart/paintball place, etc for adults. A real venue for events/concerts

The Crossroads was adequate (except for acoustics) - I thought they were reworking it, but I don't know what's going on out there. It's fair to say we don't stress this specific type of venue, but they're doing more and more music events on the river, lately.

I think there is paintball, but that's really seasonal.

It's a good idea - we got parks and "splash pads" out the wazoo now.

That's the thing, "we used to have that one thing, but it closed." Or "is that one place even open anymore?"
They need a few more restaurants and nice bars to go to, but honestly, it's never going to be the kind of place a certain group of people want to live. If you're outdoorsy or Jesusy, it's the place for you.
My biggest issue with it is the people. Plus, I can't go anywhere without running into someone I know. I hate that. That's a personal preference though.
