You could act oblivious and be like "man what's that smell" but not call them out. Did that once and guy apologized. Problem went away.

If it's a guy straight up tell them they smell like shite. No need to be polite about. If it's a girl idk no easy way to tell them.

Years ago when I worked in our hydraulic shop there was a guy who was downright filthy. you could look at him and tell he would go weeks without bathing. When his birthday came around we wrapped a present and left it in front of his locker. He opened it to see a bar of soap and wash cloth. He had a fit.
