Are there any supporters on this board?

What are they about? Good franchise or shite? I know nothing about them... Ive never really followed MLS, but with my pending move and Stevie moving to MLS, hopefully I can generate some interest...

If there is a strike, then frick it, probably..

I was a Chicago Fire fan until Orlando City came into existence. Great US history with Boca Boca, Beasley and Mcbride as former players. Fallen on some hard times but they'll be back. Crushed the Robbie Rogers - Mike Magee trade.

You don't want to root for the Fire. Just google Andrew Hauptmann and Chicago fans hate him with a passion. Saving yourself from grief.

You can't get there nor do you want to go there. Same shite that Crapids did in Denver. They went from having rights to build right next door to Pepsi Center to Commerce City just to save $15 million. You can't get there either.

They're usually one of the worst teams in the East. Draw a ton of matches. Mike Magee had a ridiculous MVP season in 2013, and the Fire still didn't make the playoffs.

Sean Johnson can be the most entertaining and the most frustrating goalkeeper in MLS, usually at the same time.

Watched a couple games last year, pretty boring play, and pretty
dismal fan support. Always a big fan of their unis though.

Well, I guess it will be the Blackhawks for my local rooting interest...

But, I'd like to make it out to a few matches this season, prob when some of the better teams come to town on a weekend..

Stadium in the burbs is hard to get to, though this city is has has so much sprawl it's still surrounded.

Team is pretty bad, and really the support pales in comparison to the Cubs, Bulls and Sox.

The clear top two sports here are NFL and NHL.

yeah, Ive passed the stadium (or at least the sign) somewhere off 55, I think... It would be a haul, but prob doable on a weekend for me...

I am going to try and get into hockey a bit, which will be to the dismay of all my friends that have been trying to get me into it here in NOLA for years.. since they are mostly Red Wings fans.. I here I need to go to a match to live, to get hooked..

It's been that long for me too. Two guys I used to play club with ended up playing for the Fire. They both eventually moved on, and I haven't watched them since.
