Wrong. Truck had every right to be in the left lane.

Don't know about where this is at, but in Tennessee it is illegal to impede the flow of traffic, which he was clearly doing by the cars passing him on the right.

People don't get ticketed for this enough and it should be ticketed far beyond speeding.

Except he was not impeding traffic as he wasn't driving slower than the vehicle in front of him.

bullshite, he was passing and keeping up with the traffic in front of him until he started getting cut off by people who probably got their panties in a wad about being 8th in line and tried to fly to the front.

bullshite, there was a train of frickers impeding traffic.

Too much ego and "he had a right to be there" nonsense. Too many people worried about "I was here first." We need more just accomplishing your pass and get back over. So many people afraid of slowing down to allow the faster traffic to proceed.

Why is that a-hole truck in the left lane?

And on his phone?

Exactly.
"Let me pass the other big truck at 71mph because he's going 70mph." GTFO the left lane people.

You know it's required to use a hand free device in a truck right? You will lose your job and some cases your CDL for talking on a phone without one. Not saying it doesn't happen but don't be so quick to blame it on a cell phone.

Wait..if he was going so slow then how did the other truck come into play? If he was going slower than traffic he was passing then girl never has a problem....but as you can tell he is gaining pn other truck from the get go

Whether the truck should have been in the left lane or not is irrelevant to the issue of the wreck. He was in the lane and has no legal responsibility to slow down and let her in regardless of her blinker. Even if he's being a dick by speeding up, he has no obligation to let her in just because she puts her blinker on.

I'm not sure about this, his own video could hurt him. There may be a law that says in the name of safety, you must avoid an accident when you can clearly do so, no matter if the other car is in the wrong.

It seems to me he said, "screw it, I'm in the right, and can't be hurt here, so I'm Not gonna avoid this collision, might teach her a lesson"

What an a-hole !

Truckers think they own the road

They do, the interstate system built for the movement of freight. They also provide majority of funding for road maintenance.

He was over in the left well before he needed to be in the left to continue to allow faster traffic to proceed to maintain his speed.

it was obvious that the woman driver was paying zero attention to her surroundings in that moment

You sounds well informed on the subject. Idiots like the driver cutting him off is the reason he has a dash cam

Fair enough.

If he would've been paying better attention the accident wouldn't have happened.
I mean, he certainly didn't wreck to prove a point, right?
Right?

No doubt, she was wrong for putting it in there too tight.
He pays attention, lifts, everybody goes about their day and she can wreck somewhere else.

I doubt it. Such a vague law would be terrible. I could not even imagine all the frivolous law suits...hell just look at this thread!

Possibly, or he might not have seen her. The camera's point of view is not the same as his.

I am sure with his aggressive move to close the gap, a rear view cam would catch him doing the same to faster cars. Truckers are just as guilty of cutting people off as cars. People just drive like asshats in this country.

He gets over as fas as he could. Sure he could have hit the breaks but it's easier said than done if he's carrying a full load. He probably thought she was going to swerve back into her lane but by the time it was too late, he couldn't do anything. You can't just swerve over quickly or move around much if you arent bob tailing or have a trailer. I've seen Trucks roll over just making a 10 mph turn due to loads of bottled water being loaded improperly. Just my opinion
