Thank you!

There's a reason why we have cops. I hope this person can sleep at night knowing he made himself judge, jury, and EXECUTIONER

I live in the neighborhood where this happened. I didn't know I didn't need a certification or permit. Then I guess I will be purchasing one very very soon.

You dont even have to be a citizen to get healthcare in this country . You certainly dont need any type of permit to own a firearm. If it is just for home defense and you dont hunt, I would start with youth model pump 20 gauge shotgun. Remington 870 is serviceable and affordable. Next would be full sized 9mm. Then an AR.

So you could cruise around with one in a holster on your hip?

Yep, but I wouldn't recommend it. Not a whole lot of good can come out of that in my opinion.

Yes.
Louisiana is an Open Carry state.
You can walk out in the open with one in a holster on your hip. I do sometimes
Some private businesses and state offices (mall, library, restaurants) don't allow it, but you can open carry in public

I can only assume if someone is going to break into my house they are going to kill me as well. It's either him or me.

... I'm sure the entire neighborhood will sleep a little better now. Kudos to the homeowner.

P.S. Your hook is too shiny.

People these days just can't seem to get their priorities straight. Typical of this "me-first" entitlement attitude that seems to pervade every part of our society.

Youre right. How dare this man protect his family, his property and himself! "Come on in, take all of the shite you want. Here, take my watch too. Oh, and you can rape my wife if you need. You obviously need her more than me". That about right? I guess sound reasoning and trying to be understanding is better than swift lead justice when dealing with the thug right?

Can you get anymore "me-first" entitled than walking into a stranger's house and attempting to steal his belongings?

Bingo! We have a winner. He must be trolling, though. OR he could just be that much of a dumbass.

I'd rather kill someone who breaks into my home than see them track dirt on the carpet.

frick the thiefs family. Their family member shouldn't have been so stupid.

Hopefully not much damage was done to the home owners house

Now the homeowner has to pay the bill for cleaning up blood and depending on shot placement, brain matter.
