Multiple sources have confirmed to me that the Minnesota Vikings are working as hard as they can to trade Adrian Peterson, and are willing to unload him “any way they can.” Though ownership and the front office have made overtures to keeping Adrian Peterson, the reality is that they are attempting to get him off the team through any means necessary.

One source told me multiple teams are interested in Peterson, though the strength or seriousness of their interest was not relayed to me.

The Vikings have been attempting to trade Adrian Peterson for weeks.

Article was written by Arif Hasan. I read he's pretty plugged in with the Vikings FWIW.

Arif is legit. He is a very solid Vikings writer who primarily focuses on analysis, not someone who usually breaks news.

However, this story has so many twists and turns that speculation is almost useless until something is final.

Even that would be way too much. Running backs don't even go that high in the draft these days. No need to waste a high pick. I think they will end up cutting him anyway. Now that everyone knows it's coming, I can't see a team trading for him.

Vikings trade raped the Seahawks with everyone knowing Harvin wanted out. They should get a king's ransom.

Why wouldn't an older player have the Patriots at the top of their list? They're in the SB every other year. Think about Andre Johnson and AD signing cap friendly deals to go for the ring. They've already made big money. If I was Suh I would join them for 2 years.

It's hard to say no to money and the Pats don't have a lot of it

And a guy like AP whose always been the #1 guy in an offense might not like being in a game specific offense where he could have 40 carries one game and then 10 the next

Suh is going to get $100m with probably $50m guaranteed. What would the pats offer, probably a max of $20m guaranteed for 2 years. No way you leave that much guaranteed money on the table.

Why would Jerry Jones trade for Adrian Peterson? Doesn't he already have one of the top backs in the NFL already? Murray is also two years younger than Peterson.

But then again, Jerry Jones.
