Supposedly he was able to beat Michael Kidd-Gilchrist one-on-one not long ago, who is a defensive specialist. And the next day he was bowled over in pain from having beaten him.

I'm sure Jordan could do it once, but he certainly couldn't average 20 for a season.

Michael Jordan 2002-2003 season games of 20 points or more:

October:

21

November:

21
25
27
20
28

December:

25

20
30

January:

February:

March:

24

April:

22

So he had 42 games where he scored more than 20 points, 9 games of 30 or more points, and 3 40+ point games.

I don't think he had a difficult time scoring 20 points... even in his last season.

He AVERAGED 20, over the course of a season.

Like someone else said, that means he had to have quite a few games where he had more than 20 points.

For one day, he could score 20. But I wouldn't think he could get it done that efficiently.

Considering he averaged 20 points that season, I wouldn't say he had trouble scoring 20.

But, no, he couldn't score 20 today and still have his team in contention for a win.

I'd vote him MVP over Harden.

he averaged 20 pts a game in his last season. Hence, he barely did it 12 years ago. Obviously I looked at it in per game statistics and not individual game stats (which is what I should have done) but you still get what I'm saying.

I'm hoping you didn't actually research that stuff just to reply back to my comment

Anyone who thinks he couldn't suit up tonight and get 20 in a game is off their rocker, IMO.

If he played a full season, a 20 pt game would be the exception. The game is considerably better than 12 years ago when he last played, but most importantly MJ is considerably older.

MJ wouldn't make it halfway down the court before his liver gives out.
