I know not too long ago Felix's was having money trouble and was on credit hold with its suppliers. I much rather eat oysters from P&J than Restaurant Depot.

Not in the FQ and do not serve oyster poboys on Monday, I'm pretty sure(which is all kind of fricked up).

So. Go anyways. Take a cab if you have to.

Wrong. They serve them on Mondays and Wednesdays ONLY. FAIL.

The man in the FQ (not me) was there on a quick business trip. He wanted to grab a bite there. Parkway was out of the way.

Didn't know which days they served oyster...still fricked up that they can't serve an oyster poboy when open. That's a "fail" in my opinion for a poboy joint.

They only serve it on days when they get the oysters fresh that morning. That way they can maintain the highest possible quality which is the root cause for their lines around the block. Serving oysters on other days would require dealing with a different supplier or stockpiling oysters overnight, both of which would impact their product. They have a phenomenal oyster po'boy by keeping such strict purity standards. Also, by only having it a couple days a week, it makes it more "special". Would Bergeron's ribs be as good if one could get them any day of the week rather than just on Wednesday? What about Red Bean mondays? Is it just as special if that same dish can be gotten any day of the week? No, and if you disagree even partially with any of the above, you are a time traveling Nazi mooslem Communist member of the Lafayette Hair Gel Club for men who eats at Applebees....baw.
