Bregman was doubled up against BC on a line drive to the SS with no outs. Balls was hit to his left and he took off for home.

Thought I recall Breggers getting caught at second doing the same, although I haven't played as close attention as I would like to have so far.
Just playing Devils Advocate, I like the aggressiveness as well.

Lange was ready from day one. Godfrey is coming along. Better and better with each start. He needs to get ahead more often and control those emotions. But I think he knows and understands that. People were calling for Latz yesterday. Overreacting IMO. He still has great stuff.

This never happened.

It was a straight steal for third and Chinea hit a hard liner right to the shortstop.

It was a serious question about asking if I missed anything. I can't remember every play.

Oh, he definitely has the stuff to be a damn strong third arm in the rotation. It's just that he is very fiery/emotional and that's something that escalates on the road, especially for a freshman.

Hard to have a feel with such a weak schedule

yea, it's way to early to really assess this team. we have a lot of talent but it takes playing games for awhile to know how they'll mesh.

i'm still nervous about the starting pitching. yes, they've looked great, esp lange but looking great against Princeton in February just doesn't give one a true barometer(even tho it beats the alternative).

this team should challenge for the SEC and should make a run for Omaha based on resumes.

I think our infield has to be fixed, similar to 2009. I hope that one of the young unfielders can step in - maybe at second so Kramer can move to third? Zardon is not up to third base. I don't think he has the range for second. Maybe there is no answer, and we just have to live with it. Foster's a great athlete. Can he play third. J/k

Pitching will depend on the control of Godfey, Bain, Norman and maybe Latz. I feel more and more confident that Lange moves to the Ace. Maybe it won't be until tournament time. These young pitchers have the talent, but they have to locate early in the count and get ahead. If not, the SEC hitters will tee off on fastballs no matter how hard they throw.

Hitting? Who knows? I'd like to see Bregman above 320. A lot of these guys with gaudy averages might disappear when its big boy time.

You do realize that Bain is like the 8th or 9th option out of the pen and that Latz likely won't see any action for another 2 weeks, right?

He's way further away than two weeks. His first day throwing again will likely be this Tuesday. He'll throw for a week then another MRI to check if the fluid in the elbow returns. Only then will he be clear to throw. It shouldn't take long because he's still been doing PT and keeping his shoulder strength up, but it's closer to 4 weeks before he sees an inning I think

Hitting has been alot more consistent than last year...but we knew that was going to be the case. I wonder if the platoon in the outfield will be sorted out, or will PM play matchups. Fraley swung a nice bat this weekend and I wonder if PM will continue to use him at the top. I just do not see Fraley as a typical lead-off kind of hitter. I think we still are looking for a lead-off guy. As far as the pitching, I am a little concerned. Having 2 freshman weekend starters makes me uneasy. The SEC schedule will be the real test for them. Hopefully they can pitch well and not wear down later in the season. Middle relief is also a point of concern. Hopefully PM will have a few guys step up and be the guys to get us out of some jams. Bouman is the guy that has me worried the most....and I can see him being less and less of a option as we progress during the season. Stallings has been fantastic.

But seriously. Yesterday people were panicking asking when Latz is back to take over the 3rd spot. How quickly people forget our 3rd option the last 3 years. Godfrey is better than those already.

Oh, and while on that subject. Can I get an apology for AC? Dude is dealing and you know it.

How so... I love our bullpen.

He and Domangue are literally non-factors. They will be used to solely to eat innings in big wins or big deficits.

Like I said, I love our bullpen.

Cartwright has been money. He added velo to his fastball. Just don't guarantee wins and I'm good.

Bugg, AC, Person, Strall, and even Newman have looked really great. I love our depth there.

Huh? I've already said that Zardon needs to get his shite together at third and have questions about Godfrey on the road.
