TQ is the most improved college basketball player between the Frosh and Soph year I have ever seen. Last year it was excruciating to watch him shoot. This year, he has developed into a competent and confident shooter, protects and distributes efficiently (10/1 assist to TO is sick), and great length as a defensive shot down guard. He is bringing all aspects of his game way up.

his improvement and impact on this years squad has been a joy to watch

Yes. It has. LSU fans were jumping all over him early this year.

I would like to point out Hornsby's impact as well. He has become a feared weapon on the perimeter.

I saw him starting to turn a corner last year. He wasn't great from deep but you could see him slowly growing as the year went on. He was able to get to the hoop and started playing better late. He has been a great leader this year. He drops a triple double last night and held Moody to 0 assist.

You can point to that Texas Tech game as the turning point for him this year.

He is one of, if not the best, defender in the SEC. The only guy to have a outstanding game against him has been house for A&N

From Advocate's S Mickles:
quote:

..when guard Jalyn Patterson heard someone on the bench say Quarterman needed two assists to join the triple-double club. “He said, ‘Hey, get one more assist … get one more assist,’ ” a smiling Quarterman said. “I was like, ‘Why?’ And he just said to get one more. Then, Mick dunked and I heard the crowd yelling ‘triple-double.’ It was just a crazy moment.”

what a moment!
And his defense, hustle and composure were equally, if not more, impressive

I hope TQ stays all 4 years. If he keeps improving like he has and keeps his head on his shoulders I believe he could go pro next year.

He's a mixture of Garret Temple and Torris Bright when it comes to his energy.

He and Hornsby have fantastic motors. Those two could play all day, not worried about minutes with them.

Quarterman has really developed quite well. He has upped his game this year, and is leaps and bounds from where he was at the end of last year.

Several of our guys are improving. The only one that seems to not be is Grey.

Either way, TQ looks to be our most consistent player in any game, whereas it seems the other stars (besides maybe Hornsby and Patterson) go through stretches where is seems they aren't on the court sometimes. (I mean that in the nicest way possible)

...he is kinda a second coming of Jerry "Ice Man" Reynolds .. resembles him in a lot of ways out on the court ...
