Part 3

quote:

Because of the passing inaccuracy of Jennings and true freshman Harris seeming a bit dazzled by the playbook, Cameron surrendered all pretense of having anything resembling a balanced offense.

After the 41-7 loss at No. 5 Auburn, LSU ran the ball 50 or more times in five of the remaining seven games, losing the two games (Arkansas and Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl) it failed to reach 50.

Q: Is it vital that you have a clear-cut No. 1 quarterback coming out of spring?

A: "In the NFL, I'd say 'yes' but in college I'd say 'no.' I'm not speaking for Les, but college players can improve so much in the summer and through a fall camp. Game experience is the true test."

He might be the worst fan I have ever seen of any team on the Internet or in real life. No one can hate on their team/program/players/coaches as much as that guy unless they are actually not a fan.

He gave you a response.. by countering with the most idiotic wager I've seen in a time.

If the incumbent starter (Jennings) starts more games than the challenger (Harris), he is asking you to permaban yourself.

I wont even hold injuries against him. If as the starter Harris gets injured, and AJ winds up with more starts, then hes good to continue posting.

But if you guys are so certain that Miles is capable of changing his stubborn opinion, anyone can join in on this permaban bet?

Just saw that.

So he's apparently backing off of the comment that started this:

quote:

Harris will never start while AJ is at LSU

Which I responded to with this:

quote:

He already did start you stupid frick.

I am going to do the board a favor and make a year long ban bet with you right now that unless Jennings is an All SEC caliber QB next year, Harris will be our starter at some point next year.

Which he apparently countered with this:

quote:

ets make it a permaban how bout? If AJ starts more games next year thgan Harris, you never post your stupid opinions on here again?

Why would I agree to that?? I am not the one that believes that AJ is beyond being a successful QB, as League Chump clearly is. If AJ improves, and keeps Harris off the field and LSU wins the West with him, why would I ban myself???

My bet still stands, unless AJ is an All SEC caliber QB, Harris will start, which he did in 2014. And I'll definitely make it a permaban bet.

You in League Chump?

Why would I join the bet when I believe that Jennings will be the starter for the majority of the season?

Les made the right call with the starting QBs in 2011 and he made it again in 2014. I trust that he'll do the same in 2015.

does anyone think that there isn't a good chance that jennings remains the starting QB for the next two seasons?

It's still early to say anything, but why wouldn't someone assume Jennings will be the starter? Incumbency typically holds out, especially under CLM. He just got 12 games of experience and all the reps with the 1's.

It's plausible Harris could win, but doesn't it seem more likely that Jennings wins?

Agreed.

I think it's more likely than not that Jennings starts Week 1. But if he isn't playing at a very high level through the MSU game Week 2, Harris will ABSOLUTELY get a chance to start after that.

I have no doubt about that, and will permanently ban myself if AJ continues to start if he hasn't improved substantially over his 2014 play.

Did Harris not get a chance to start and prove he deserved to play over AJ???

yeah, he started his first game on the road at auburn and the defense gave up 41 points and he sprained his ankle. never saw anymore meaningful playing time the rest of the year.

with jennings struggling the rest of the year, the question is why not try something different? so many head scratching decisions with the QB spot in 2014.

Nice slant.

You mean the game when he went 3/14 for 58 yards, with one completion being 52 yards, going 2/13 for 6 yards the rest of the game and missing multiple handoffs because he didn't know which way the play was going?

When we won 3 of our next 4 games, including upsetting #3 and taking #5 to OT???

The Arkansas game was the only game I could have seen Harris playing as reasonable.

But to pretend it was some ridiculous and stubborn notion to stick with the starter when it was 10-0 until well into the 4th quarter just shows an anti-Miles bias.

i probably would have let Harris take some series to see if he could get anything going, assuming he was healthy. But what exactly did Harris show in his time on the road against Wisconsin or Auburn leads you to believe he would have fared better at Arkansas??
