They look like toys from that perspective.

I believe the "holy grail" would be the 1967
1967 is a C2, and a desirable year, at that. Not really fair to compare C2 and C3, as C2s typically fetch 2 to 6 times what a C3 will sell for - all other things equal, a '63 coupe and and a '67 roadster are top of the mark for C2s.

isn't that a 69? 70 and 71 had the egg crate cove. 69 had the shark gills

Certainly depends on the C3 and the C2. There are C3's that's that bring 7-figures.
But it's not fair to compare the entire C3 line, when the chrome bumpers are bringing the most $$$. That the said the C2 pound for pound will bring in more $$$ but the bumper C3's are on the rise.

It's a 71. The pic is a little deceiving, but the 68-69 only had 4 vertical louvers. The 70-71 had 5 louvers in the egg crate. Another way you can tell is the 68-69 did not have fender flares from the factory. The 68 came with a 7" rim and it was increased to 8" for the 69's. When the 69 owners started bitching about stone chips thrown up from the wider rims and tires, Chevy engineering put the flared fenders on the 70 and on to stop the damage on the paint.

Vetteguy did you ever sell racing boats and always drive a yellow vette with black stripes? Random, I know, but I may have met you before.
