Hard to beat a '63.

On your car, price is gonna be all over the map. Condition is everything. Do you have a good ownership trail?

It's the right color-nothing beats resale red. I'd probably go ahead and do the carpet, fix all the minor stuff. People looking at a car like this are gonna have a wide variety of choices and the good stuff stands out.

Check Corvette Forum and Hemmings to get a good idea on prices, but mid to upper 20s is fair.

ETA: cold AC is a huge plus, I'd be upper 20s. Make sure you mention that.

'61 always seemed like a gentleman's driver to me. Classy. Almost like a Jag E Type.

Man, take a look at storage, unless you really aren't gonna drive it anymore.

Decent garage type storage can be had for probably around $200 per month.
Put a battery tender on it and keep it.

It's only gonna go up in value.

Love it. Would be my ultimate old-man car. And I don't even care if I can't get the Hooter's waitresses. Just an awesome, manly car.

Is the fiberglass body brittle or is it still good?

You ALMOST got it right.

The ultimate car is a Panama Yellow 1958 Vette.

Average price on a #3 car is around $27-28K.

#3 cars could possess some, but not all of the issues of a #4 car, but they will be balanced by other factors such as a fresh paint job or a new, correct interior. #3 cars drive and run well, but might have some incorrect parts. These cars are not used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws. "Good" is the one word description of a #3 car.

Maybe!

The first article is form 2011, at that time C3s of all types had been declining in value for the previous five years, and projected to continue.
In 2013 and 2014 there was a spike in corvette prices, but other than the highest value collectables, most had not returned to their 2005 price level.
