Im searching for honeymoon destinations and it looks really nice. I found a pretty cool place on VRBO that I'm really high on for a solid price.

We're both certified divers, so I would imagine we will look to get underwater at some point. Any "must do" things you would recommend?

some of the best diving I have done around the world! It was a good trip, but I dove almost the whole time I was there.

Never been but everything I've seen puts it pretty much in the top spot for best water/beaches in that area

If I'm going to the Caribbean, I imagine I'd start with there.

Which place is it? I was researching turks and caicos all day yesterday for a vacation this year, may be able to help.

That being said, Galley Bay Resort in Antigua is the GOAT honeymoon.

I'll look that up but I'm not much for resorts.

ETA. I'll have to go back and look to see exactly but it was a house and not a resort.

Galley Bay is beautiful. Just looked it up

How's the fishing? Id like to catch bonefish for sure. Maybe something else.

Went for my honeymoon. Stayed at Seven Stars.

Unreal.

Tour the whole main island. Go to the Conch Shack, Thursday (I think) there is an island party with all the local restaurants fish frying with local music, go to national parks where there is no development (water is ridiculous), take island hopping boat tour, and try all the best restaurants.

I am not sure about fishing, I am sure they have it, but Antigua is awesome. Eric Clapton has a second residence there and it was the biggest house I had ever seen. Galley Bay is a resort but its a small one with no kids. Very secluded with an amazing beach.

Best diving I've ever had. Amazing place. Great food. Great honeymoon destination too. Will cost you plenty though.

How do you get food in a vrbo? I wouldn't want to be living off groceries on my honeymoon.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Grace Bay Club. I stayed at the gansevoort at the other end of the island and kind of regret that choice. Eating at the Gansevoort's only restaurant every day nearly broke me. Grace bay club has lots of options and it's close to one of my favorite restaurants in the world: Coco Bistro.

Seven Stars is in the same bay, is closer to Coco Bistro, and has the island's only 5* restaurant inside the hotel.

I walked to the very nice high end grocery store across the street to stock beer and stuff in the condo and ate at all the hotel and nearby restaurants for meals.

Coco Bistro was so fricking good.

We went to T&C in June, stayed at Seven Stars resort, it was an incredible property and incredible trip.

We ate at Coco Bistro (Excellent) , Seven (Very very good) , Bay Bistro and Caicos Cafe. All the food was very good, but, Coco Bistro was the best.

We did a sunset cruise on a small boat from the resort, that was incredible. Also did snookering / snuba which was great. Did an island tour where we were taken by boat to a few spots and swam/snorkeled and walked a secluded island filled with iguanas.

It was a great trip and the water and sand were top notch. Highly recommend T&C

Explore North and Middle Caicos.

This.

Middle Caicos has Mudjin Harbor which is drop dead gorgeous with Dragon Cay a quick walk if the tide is right. There is also a cave to see on Middle and flamingos galore in the salt marshes.

Bone fishing is best at Bambarra Beach from what I've been told. Eat lunch on Middle at Daniel's and if you're lucky they'll have fresh yellow tail snapper that day fried up for you. If not the grouper does NOT suck.

Thursday night is Fish Fry on Grace Bay and it's a lot of fun and you get the local flavor.

Coco Bistro is fabulous but you have to make reservations months in advance depending on the season you are visiting. Bay Bistro and Mango Reef are excellent restaurants. I don't think the diving is as highly rated as somewhere like Roatan but you'll be hard pressed to find more beautiful beaches or water anywhere.

For a more casual lunch or dinner you can go to Sharkbite Bar & Grill at Turtle Cove. The food is good not great but it's a nice setting.
