Can hit open 3's
Can't defend

already better than Ryno

We should run a lineup with him in over Ryno

Well he does do what Ryno is supposed to do. And he is cheaper.

Babbitt does a much better job defending 3s than Anderson. Anderson is stronger in the post. They aren't as redundant as it would seem.

We need to make sure this off the dribble game is for real before we anoint Babbitt. Hopefully it is, he was a good scorer in college, but without that he's so easy to shut down, just run at him.

Since babbitt started driving to the goal, he has looked pretty good, and if he's hitting his threes, he's really not that much different than ryno.
he's been doing well in playing rynos role.

I mean we need someone to hit 3's...

He's hitting 3's

EG is the only other guy that can consistently do that for us. Ryno isn't the other guy.

Babbitt is poor defensively, but hell roll a lineup of
Tyreke-EG-Babbitt-AD-Asik

Babbitt was a beast on the boards tonight too. And he's good for a sneaky block every once in awhile. I'm all for giving Babbitt more run if Anderson is having one of his off games.

Its not all that sneaky. He's got a very good vertical and reach. He gets up higher than Blake Griffin.

Although both provide floor spacing due to the threat of the three, they really aren't similar players. babbitt is a 3 and has lost his minutes to Cunningham and Pondexter, both of whom are better defenders. I would love to see Babbitt establish himself as a 3 who can not only shoot the 3 but also attack the basket/shoot pull-ups, and I have always felt that he is athletic and long enough to improve his defense. It would be interesting if we went from having a big hole at the 3 spot to having two talented role players there (3 if you count Cunningham who can also play the 4). Anyway, I would tap the brakes on annointing Babbit as teh Ryno replacement if for no other reason than they're such different players.

He is playing very well. He did what he needed to do in the off season . I do not know if he is as good as anderson but if someone would offer us a good deal for Reno, I would trade him.
