Potatoes from a boil with the left over onions, and garlic make the best potato salad I've ever tasted.

I actually took leftover potatoes and put them in the freezer until they were VERY cold and hard enough (but not frozen). Then quickly, while still hard/cold, I cut them into little cubes.
Then I deep fried them.
Best "fries" I've ever had. Crisp and golden brown on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside.. and the best flavor from the boil.

pineapple
Sounds awesome, never had it in a boil
Just cut it up & throw it in?

We cut off the top of the pineapple, stab it with a knife all over, then drop the whole thing in. Carve it up after the boil.

I have done eggs a few times. Once your done with the boil. Keep the water hot...moving but not bubbling. Leave the basket in and crack open a egg at the water surface and roll it in the water. It will hold its shape before it hits the bottom. Picks up the seasoning on the outer skin (and sometimes claws ). I enjoy them and the leftovers are good for some potato salid the next day with The other leftovers.

Second page and no mention of brisket, ribs or chickens?

As I always say in these threads, stick a whole chicken in a pantyhose tie end and boil. When done let it cool and then make a very good chicken salad.

Potatoes
Corn
Onion
Mushrooms
Asparagus
I don't like boiled meat too much and would rather that go away and people grill it instead.
