-cloves of garlic (again not eaten) I gues some eat them
-links of sausage
-red boiling potatoes
-corn on the cob
-pearl onions
-button Mushrooms (forgot to add)

-sweet potatoes cut in half (is this over board?)

Eta: in before squirrel

Eta2: things I've seen:

-full cans of a variety of vegetables with holes in it.
-asparagus
-cauliflower
-celery stalks
-baby carrots
-oysters
-pineapple
-broccoli
-juicy cheesy jumbo hotdogs
-jalps

from the other thread:

I usually go:

lemon
corn
new potatoes
head of garlic
onion

once I'm done, I'll drop in some andouille then drain a can of green beans and let it sink to the bottom and soak for a bit. I don't put the sausage in with the bugs cause it makes them kinda greasy feeling.

that's as "fancy" as I get. throwing too much shite in there is just pointless and excessive IMO.

If you arnt eating the garlic youre missing out. We put in whatever we feel like putting in. Any believe that there should be a limit on what you can drop in the pot is asinine. You have a pot full of seasoned boiling water, why the frick not? Some of my favorite not so common items inpo:

A chicken
Artichoke
Asparagus
Broccoli
Cauliflour
Hot dogs
Mushrooms
Cocktail wieners
Carrots
Onions

You can make some fine leftovers with the seasoned water. New potatoes from a boil roasted the next day are dynamite. Creamy and delicious.

Put that sausage in and then give it a hit on the grill for a little while. Tastes good either way. Makes a tasty hot sausage poboy, too.

need to come pick you up next time dagurun is cooking up some bugs.

last year my wife and i ate about 20lbs each..those nashville fancy men & women would come pick one or two bugs out and fuss with them for about 10 minutes each..then finally dig a little meat out and politely excuse themselves.

it was the opposite of what i experience in lousiana.

we ate so many bugs we took a nap then went back for 'second' bugs.

I eat about 2 heads of garlic on my own. Best part imo

Eat a crawfish, while in your mouth, take a nibble of sausage, then squeeze a garlic clove in your mouth

Yup. I've had pretty much everything that's been posted so far besides the pineapple and it was all good.

If you really want to add a different kind of heat to a batch, cut up a bunch of habaneros, jalapeños, and serranoes and toss them in there. I like doing this for one batch and get many compliments on it.
