Trying to find a ff handguard with bottom rails at least (no key mod) for Windham weaponry src 308. I can't find anything definitive on whether it's dpms or armalite pattern,o or proprietary. The only one ww offers is Midwest industries key mod

Midwest is a great one.

I'm actually posting an AR15 buyer's guide pretty soon on different parts and such. I'll be posting a part about handguards too.

Why are you against Keymod? The ability to add rail panels only where wanted really cleans up the profile and lightens the rifle.

I also can't stress how important this is on a 308 rifle. Pretty much everything is heavier.

I put a Troy battle rail in my 6.8. Love it.

Look into SLR. Great quality, lightweight, and options between keymod, m-lok, etc. Along with various choices of where there is or isn't traditional picatinny.
