The guy didn't have miss. Every episode and skit was a slam dunk, and the ones that weren't he turned it into a hilarious episode where he just told the audience why it sucked.

im not sure the lightening they caught in the first two seasons can ever be replicated.
Only show I ever had to take a break because my throat hurt from laughing.

The very first episode he unleashed Clayton Bigsby on the world.
I saw it and immediately knew that this was something completely different than anything I'd ever seen before and couldn't miss it. After that I tuned in every week. But holy hell. It absolutely blew my mind because 1) it was hilarious and 2) someone actually had the balls to put a sketch like that out there.
Dave during this time was unlike anyone else.
ETA: "This is probably the wildest thing I've ever done in my career. And I showed it to a black friend of mine and he looked at me like I had set black people back...with a comedy sketch. *dramatic pause* Sorry."

I wish there could have been one more season, but probably best it didn't continue and go downhill.
It could never come back now, not on CC. Chappelle's show could never get away with the shite they did then with today's PC police.
Comedy Central isn't nearly as edgy now anyway. That was the heyday. Chapelles Show, Crank Yankers, South Park was still killing it, The Man Show, Insomniac with Dave Attell, Reno 911

Much like great rock stars it burned bright and fast. It was jam packed with great material. It will be a long time before another sketch show touches this one.

I'm definitely rewatching some sketches on youtube. Clayton Bigsby, Popcopy, the new Tupac track, Tyrone Biggums goes to school...I'm sucked in and don't know when it'll stop.
