It's super early in the season and they aren't fully grown with hard shells yet.

Prices are always high until a couple weeks into lent anyway.

Regardless of price, the actual crawfish might be the best in years this year. They should he big as shite but without super hard shells. Like they were quite a few years back.

I'm excited. I have 5 solid and 4 tentative boils planned this year.

You were dumb to pay that

That's about $25 a lb for crawfish meat

Think about that

Yep. People always want crawfish super early, pay th high prices and then bitch about them. Wait a month or so and eat all you want at a fraction of the cost

You are the dumb one making a statement like that without knowing wtf situation I was in. I bought 5 lbs for my daughter who wanted some. No way I could've bought/boiled them for that price.

Like the thread on frog legs?

I figured this would take in several topics such as economics, supply, agricultural practices, religion, etc.

Nice contribution though, thanks.

Saw they were $19 for 3 pounds and $29 for 5 pounds boiled last night at Tommy's Fish House. Didn't get any but those were the prices.
