Price of crawfish live and/or boiled

Bought some boiled crawfish for daughter last night. $6.50 /lb. Holy smokes.

Last I heard farmers are getting $2.50 lb but they arent catching many

It's super early in the season and they aren't fully grown with hard shells yet.
Prices are always high until a couple weeks into lent anyway.
Regardless of price, the actual crawfish might be the best in years this year. They should he big as shite but without super hard shells. Like they were quite a few years back.
I'm excited. I have 5 solid and 4 tentative boils planned this year.

Yep. People always want crawfish super early, pay th high prices and then bitch about them. Wait a month or so and eat all you want at a fraction of the cost

Saw they were $19 for 3 pounds and $29 for 5 pounds boiled last night at Tommy's Fish House. Didn't get any but those were the prices.
