LINK

Go there. Same as showbox but you can set localcast as your player and use it on Chromecast.

Show box updated a couple days ago and now you can only use MX player which doesn't support Chromecast.

If you don't know what I'm talking about then carry on.

If you haven't updated showbox then don't.

Do you find showbox to have a higher selection than Popcorn Time? Popcorn Time (or the fork, Time4Pocorn rather) supports Chromecast just fine, but I sometimes have a hard time finding active torrents for older content, especially TV shows.

Im very happy with the link I posted above.

Showbox was hit and miss for me.. For instance they didn't even have deadwood in HD.

Give that new app a spin. I think you'll like it.

If using localcast you'll have to select it under options AFTER you've selected the video stream.

Also had some buffering issues with showbox.

Can someone give me a tutorial on using the app that I downloaded from the link with chromecast? I don't see an icon like most apps that are compatible but would love to be able to use this.

Would be much appreciated if so

Eta: I'm guessing I have to download whatever I want to watch and then use local cast? Can't stream directly to chrome cast?

You pretty much have it.

Step 1: download HD cinema and localcast
Step 2: launch movie in hd cinema
Step 3: after launch you get a dialog box with options. Use that to select localcast as player for the stream
Step 4: select your Chromecast in localcast

Voilà

I've updated showbox and still have the option to play via any programs I want.
