Hope they let him apply pressure like the article says. I can't stand it when we let a team roll the ball up to half court.

Monty just needs to let this team play GSW basketball from the mid 2000s. Let your horses run

Some comments from Coach Spoelstra on Cole

quote:

"When you send a player like Norris Cole," Spoelstra said, "to another team, a two-time champion, somebody that came up through our ranks -- we developed him, we spent a lot of time when we drafted him -- that's always tough in this business."

Spoelstra made a point at Friday's shootaround of singling out Cole, who ironically could be in uniform Saturday night for the New Orleans Pelicans when they play the Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena.

"You hear it all the time, the cliche, 'it's a business,' " Spoelstra said. "But when you trade someone like that, you make that call, those are one of the tougher calls you have to make.

"He's one of my favorite players that we've had here, because of what I call his 'competitive character.' Norris is elite with that."

Monty Williams on the addition of Cole: “He’s a guy I’ve always liked from afar. Defensively, he’s always been a pest on the ball. He’s made a lot of big shots on championship teams. He’s been in a great environment and well coached. Everything I’ve heard about him is he’s a competitor and as a person does the kind of stuff we like. I had a great conversation with him last night. He’s anxious to get on the floor. Hopefully we’ll meet him in Miami and we’ll see him tomorrow.”

Norris doing dribbling drills that I never seen our guards do pre game.

The Miami Heats biggest forum had a happy to see you go thread for him. Just like we did rivers. So don't count your chickens too soon.

THE Miami heat fans are fricking idiots who are accustomed to the likes of Shaq, LeBron, bosh, Ray Allen, etc Choosing to come play there. If they aren't bringing in that caliber player they largely check out.

Cole however was not a long term solution for the Heat's problems. They needed an upgrade at PG in the absolute worst way and he simply was not that guy.

I love the energy that Cole brings to this team! While most were playing flat like his hairdo, he bounces off the bench and ignites this ball club!

Trade everyone and rebuild around Babbitt & Cole.

AD and Babbitt were the only two high energy guys on this roster before Cole was brought in, his intensity was much needed on this team. I'd argue that Jason Smith would fit into that high energy category last year as well.

Cole is also probably the first high level defensive guard this franchise has had since Chris Paul left.

Quincy Pondexter and on a lesser note Dante Cunningham?
