Yesterday I went to my local post office to drop off FedEx packages, well they don't accept FedEx only UPS. So I go back home and low and behold FedEx is at my house dropping off a package so I ask the guy if I could load my packages as they have already been pre-paid for and they have a shipping label, he agrees and we load the packages.
Now the tracking numbers I have are saying they can not be found. Is it because the boxes have not been put in the system yet? Did I lose my boxes? Never had an issue before.

Do you have any record of you giving them the packages?

Know the drivers name?

You may be SOL bc FedEx is terrible about processing packages.

I could go on for hours about them losing packages and not being accountable for their mistakes.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've worked in logistics and what happened is there was no initial pickup scan. So the system won't pick it up till the next scan is made. This can be made at one of its distribution centers or at the delivery point.

Odd that the Post Office says they don't accept FedEx packages when FedEx has the "FedEx SmartPost" shipping method.

Its not odd. It just means they only accept smart post packages that have USPS tracking numbers.

what I meant was did he give you any kind of receipt for pickup? I worked at a place that had fedex come daily and we always had the boxes ready to go. he scanned them and gave us a little printout of everything

What time of day did you give the guy the packages? Our FedEx guy does pick up all the time so there shouldn't be a problem. They may not have been put in the system.

No they did not scan them, just loaded onto the truck and said they would bring them to processing center in BR at the end of their route. Guessing one on Coursey
