No shite, I get the Times-Pic and he has written numerous articles of which the main subject is that the Pelicans have no chance of making the playoffs. Whether that is true or not, why is that even a headline for an article. Not just one, but numerous times starting months ago. Seems like his main agenda is to hurt attendance and do whatever he can to hurt the franchise. I don't get the dude or understand why the paper has him as their beat writer for a team he apparently dislikes so much.

Sorry if some of you don't like or can't handle the truth. The Holiday trade has not improved this team…and Jimmy Smith is not the only person in the local or national media to feel that way. Take away Anthony Davis and where would the Pelicans be today with this roster?
Time to reevaluate the front office and the coaching staff. This is a mediocre team who struggles with the dregs of the league on a pretty consistent basis. Sorry, but that't the perception of many in the fan base and it clearly shows in the lack of interest at the games - even with Anthony Davis on the team.

Take the best or key player away from most teams and they would suck too. Look what happens when Gasol goes out in Memphis or lamarcus in Portland or lebron in cleaveland or Durant/Westbrook in OKC or harden in Houston or wade in Miami or Blake in LAC Teams build a roster around a person, when you lose that person, the roster doesn't work as well.
Edit: jimmy smith is a troll and a horrible excuse for a sports writer. I still remember him reaming Dell over signing Melvin ely last year simply cause he didn't understand that Dell did it for trade purposes
