I really would like to get a Fulltone Deja-Vibe to get that swirly Hendrix/Trower sound. I've been looking on Craigslist but they're rare as hell. There are some on eBay but they're not much cheaper than brand new.

I have a Fulltone Mini Deja-Vibe and I love it. Ive used it recently to record a cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Really saturated the chorus with the Deja and Digitech Hardwire RV-7 reverb pedal and it almost sent me into outerspace. Really awesome pedal. I remember paying top dollar for it a few years ago though, but it is most definitely worth it.

Yeah the mini is what I'd rather have so that it takes up less real estate on my pedal board. Good to hear that it's everything I thought it was. I need to stop being a cheap bastard and just order one.

Bare Knuckle makes great stuff.

I'm glad i finally saw someone who has played these. I've been wanting to buy a set of bareknuckles for a long time, but i have been hesitant to buy them just because i havent seen many unbiased reviews.

The demo videos and audio sound awesome though.

Worth the money?

Of the pups that Ive played/owned - Miracle Man, Rebel Yells, Nailbomb, Holy Diver, and The Mule, they are all great pickups. High quality and musical. Worth the money? I think so. Are they vastly superior to a set of Seymour JB, Custom 5 or Rio Grande BBQ, no not vastly. They are more "organic" sounding and I feel accurately portray what you are trying to say easier. The Mule with some gain on it was IMO, the best blues humbucker Ive ever heard (Warren Haynes tones). Just so fat and creamy. The Holy Diver and Rebels smoke at 80s rock and metal, Holy Diver's being a little hotter but Rebels being more versatile. Listen to the latest Whitesnake album and that tone that Aldrich has (although I believe he's playing Suhr pups, go figure) is what I was getting out of the Rebels through a midrangey type amp (Splawn). If you are an advanced player, absolutely Bare Knuckles line is superior to the more typical stuff you can buy at Guitar Center. It's just a more musical sound and more attention to detail. I am also a big fan of Motor City (Detroiter model, my fav pickup of all time) and also WCR Pickups (Godwoods).

I can't decide between The Mule and Holy Diver.

This statement:

Has me heavily leaning toward the mule

I wouldn't call myself advanced, but I've been playing over 10 years now, I play at minimum a couple times a week and I have a shitty garage band with some buddies.

I have an egnator tube amp, a nice pedal collection, and my main guitar is a les Paul with an alnico pro2 in the neck and a pearly gates in the bridge.

I really want to fix up my ibanez though and I think I'm a go with the mule
