I've been having my eye on the little Marshall DSL5C 1x10" 5 watt combo for awhile now. Would be used as a studio amp and practice amp on 1 watt mode. Sounds pretty fantastic all things considered especially at the used Ebay price point. It will either be this or a Electro-Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Pedal so that I can get a little more texture in some of the atmospheric ambient stuff I like to do.

I'm looking into several different options as my next piece of equipment:
pedal board
PA system
mixer
recording software/hardware
acoustic/electric guitar

Well hot damn! Who would have thought that Thursdays can be so damn expensive. Very nice additions, congrats. Only Taylor Ive ever owned was a Big Baby about 10 years ago. I was playing at a mud ride and got drunk and fell out the back of a pickup truck and smashed it. It sure was a sweet sounding guitar though.

pedal board

I highly recommend the Pedaltrain PT/2 24" w/ATA hard case. Ive had one for about 8 years now and it's seen 500+ gigs and its still in perfect shape. Very expensive but very tough. I like the way the power supply brick mounts under it as well.

recording software/hardware

If youre just looking into interfaces to dabble on and introduce yourself to self recording, the Presonus Audiobox USB is a fantastic Interface to get you started. It comes with a Studio One package as well so you can start recording that day. Very user friendly setup and tons of tutorial info on youtube and presonus.com to help. For $99 (40% off right now), it's a great value.

I'm a Taylor guy. In fact, the favorite guitar I own is my old 110.

I'm going to breakdown and get a National Resonator. Just trying to decide whether to go metal or wood.

Just bought a Gretsch Boxcar. For the money, it's a quality instrument. Suits me, anyway, I'm not much of a slide player.

1) Line6 D4L Pedal

2) New Pickups in my Ibanez. I'm thinking Bar Knuckle HolyDIver humbucker & 2 Trilogy Suite single coils

3) Moog Analog delay

4) Pedal Board.

Maple side, back and neck … Sitka spruce top. I've got a Seagull 12-string and it's a fine guitar, but like I said, I'm a Taylor guy and I wanted a solid wood Taylor 12-string, so ….

I played a Les Paul Custom that has some Holydiver's in it and let me tell you, those pickups are.... . Ive also owned a Miracle Man installed in a Warmoth frankenstrat that smoked and have played some Rebel Yell's that were fantastic too. Bare Knuckle makes great stuff. I have a Motor City Detroiter PAF in my Les Paul and I couldnt have picked a better match. Very versatile and hot enough to cover heavy material and do some chug with great bass response and also has all the sweet characteristics of vintage PAF's for "Jesus Left Chicago" type of stuff. Obviously it's a give and take because you cant totally have best of both worlds, but it is very verssatile and nails nearly every tone Im after and especially puts out what you put in as far as playing dynamics. Dig in hard and get harmonics or strum light and there are tons of P90ish overtones with out touching volume knob or amp at all.

I really would like to get a Fulltone Deja-Vibe to get that swirly Hendrix/Trower sound. I've been looking on Craigslist but they're rare as hell. There are some on eBay but they're not much cheaper than brand new.

My brother has a Taylor acoustic that I covet so I may have to break down and get one of those too.
