Need some suggestions on a new tackle bag to hold all of my gear, especially one that has zippers that don't corrode. I've probably gone through 3 or 4 in my lifetime and all the zippers end up corroding after a couple of years.

How much gear do you have?

I recently moved to using this for my clear trays:

Bass Pro Shops Utility Box Carrier

and a backpack for my plastics and miscellaneous gear

I use a military canvas parachute bag full of plano storage boxes.

Beats any other system I've used.

$17.99

Here is mine... it's probably 17 years old and the zippers still work.

unused in my garage. It's too big and I'm trying to downsize.

flambeau az series 4

it's small enough to wade fish with all day, has just enough space for the 10-15 baits that you use and no space for all the other garbage that you don't use. also has a nice magnetic pouch on the side for holding clippers/scissors on a retractable lanyard. i use the big front pocket for worm bags and the back pocket for sunscreen.

if you buy a big bag you're going to fill it up with crap that you'll never use. just my .02

Over the years I've tried every tackle organizing system there is: bags, trays, Tupperware boxes, etc... I've gone to gallon ziplock bags for my plastics , seems to work the best for me.

Same here. I have 3 2.5 gallon hefty bags that have 1 gallon bags inside them with packs of plastics inside those.

Those bags all fit inside a backpack. So no my bass gear is consolidated down to the BPS Utility Box carrier for my clear boxes and one backpack for my plastics and line/tools/scale

Yep, doing this was probably the best thing I ever could've done. I find what I need so much quicker. My old gym bag has 5 one gallon bags in them. I have several boxes for crankbaits, terminal tackle, and jigs that also fit in the bag. And the side pouch is for all of my string.

Came home to a new bass pro sale catalogue. I don't use bags, but some of the sales looked nice. Especially the Plano Fishflage at $47.97.
