Dear Lord: I have only one request at the moment, and it involves QBs.

Please get the recruiting sites to properly classify Franks as a Pro Style and Patterson as a Dual Threat.

It's not that much work. Rivals already has Patterson as a Dual Threat, ESPN already has Franks as a Pocket Passer, and Scout lists them both as just QB.

So really, it's just both of them at 247, Franks at Rivals, and Patterson at ESPN.

In return, I promise not to laugh too hard when the moron posters' heads explode.

doesn't matter

the rantards will just see a pic of Patterson and see "pro style" QB

then they will look at Franks, get really confused, notice his first name, get more confused, grunt some form of speech at each other and finally yell "GEAUX TIGERS!"

It doesn't matter. Franks will surprise people with his pocket presence and arm strength.

I could go along with that but my preference would be to do away with the separation altogether. A QB is a QB. Rank them as such. The running ability can be factored into the whole evaluation package. The passing skills and potential are what matter. The qb is gonna have to pass the ball no matter how well he runs these days. Tommie Fraizer is the best college player I've ever seen and he would struggle to be a starting qb in this era. Couldn't pass. He would be ranked as an athlete. If the services love a potential qbs athletic ability but question his passing then they would have to devalue them as a qb in the rankings or place them as an athlete. Just like Torrance Gibson

I think franks has the higher "upside" and physical ability.

I nearly jizzed my pants when I saw some of Franks' HS tape and saw him take some snaps from under center. I don't give a shite about classifications (skin color to the simpletons on here); as long as the kid can take the snap from under center, I'm all good.

As much as I hate Manziel & Jameis hopefully they can redefine how people label QB's that it shouldt be judged by race. I thought Warren Moon/Steve Young or Fran Tarkenton/Doug Williams wouldve done this but I guess not.

without question

Franks is a gold mine. If he stays committed, Harris or Jennings will settle in and our QB issues will disappear.
