He's talking about the posts that say something like "Trying to show my students how fast something they say can spread via social media. Please share this post to help with this lesson!" Sometimes they ask you to type in your location when you share it.
I get a few of these a year, not quite as often as the OP. I can kind of see the point, as a lot of kids don't realize that things they put on social media forums CAN spread quickly, be seen by many people they don't know, and through copying and pasting are permanently out there for others to see, but I hate chain-mail kind of shite so I never like/share it.
