I dont care if they dont change the name, but its obvious this is the new Mississippi. As already known, the sediment is taking the easier route.

The difference is, its output isn't right at the continental shelf

It's a long ways downriver from there to the mouth. Would have a chance to disperse before it fell to the bottom of the ocean

If you look a little west of wax lake outlet there is another one that looks to be a man made cut coming from Bayou Teche that is forming another delta.
