I travel offshore a good bit for work and each bunk has its own tv. Apple earbuds start to hurt after a while. Looking to spend around $40. Does the tech board have any suggestions?

Skull candy buds aren't too bad.

I've found the $10 Skull Candy ear buds you can get at Walmart to work well. They have that soft gel material so they are fairly comfortable to wear.

I'm open to any type, but leaning towards over the ear.

Pick a pair of earbuds and replace the tips with a set of Comply foam tips.

Yep. I use the Veritas tips on Amazon b/c they were cheaper, but I have a big head so they may be too large for normal sized ears. I wish they still made black foam tips tho, the grey ones get pretty funky even if you clean your ears regularly.

Harman is having a sale on their refurbished items. I found them through slickdeals. They have a $300 pair on sale for $119 of over the ear, noise cancelling headphones. I'd get them, but I really want bluetooth.

Check out Best Buy. I was able to get a decent pair of gaming headphones for around $50.
