Les Paul’s “Black Beauty”, built by Gibson in the 1950s for the legendary guitar innovator, is being sold by Paul’s friend, fellow inventor and guitar tech Tom Doyle, according to CNN.
The New York Times reports the guitar will go to the highest bidder on Feb. 19 at New York’s Arader Galleries. There’s no pre-sale estimate, but the president of Guernsey’s auction house told the Times that it could sell for more than $2 million.

An old Les Paul such as that shits on a PRS though.
My favorite guitars are old strats, but I also love the Gibson 335 and the L5. Another one id like to have some day is the Duesenberg Starplayer TV - Mike Campbell edition. Beautiful guitar, great tone. I need to get really rich.
