Did anyone have February 2015 in the pool?

I don't know why anyone would open a restaurant in this place. We need a RunningTiger top 10 most failures in a single building.

I nominate this space.

small building on Magazine Street near Napoleon Avenue has housed a series a Middle Eastern restaurants: Courtyard Grill, Vida's Bistro and finally Mezze

Haiku will be the next victim.

A banner outside advertised "Haiku: Sushi, Asian Fusion and Bar." On Friday (Feb. 6), a worker replacing the dining room's floor said the new sushi restaurant would debut in a few weeks.

Closing up shop this time of year is dumb. You could make good money just selling drinks, snacks, and bathroom passes there.

Agreed.

Missed you out at Barkus yesterday. I was posted up at Cosimos for a few hours.

It was kind of a cool place. I went with a friend who lived in turkey and he said it passed the authenticity test well enough. That spot is cursed though. Haiku won't last six months. Terrible name too.

Also, put me down for tacos and tequila in the restaurants soon to close pool.

The old Rio Mar. Not to be confused with Tacos and Beer on St. Charles.

The wholly uninspired place that is filling the gap between rio mar and the next legitimate restaurant to take its place

Went once and was decent enough food. Never definitely better than Mona's.

Tons of wine there, but were down to just a few low end selections.
