Since the Crawfish season is picking up and my beloved oysters are still running well, why not combine the 2?

Watched a YouTube video yesterday that said to put them in the pot with cold water with your seasoning and such , bring to a boil for 10 mins and then let soak for 20....anyone ever tried? How do they turn out?

Boil oysters for 10 minutes and then let them sit for 20?

Those things are gonna be so shriveled up, they're gonna be the size of marbles

Yes sir, that's what they said in the vid.

They didn't look shriveled in the vid and you gotta remember that once the water gets hot those oysters are going to close up and the boiling water won't get inside the shell

It doesn't interfere with the natural "saltiness", or does it actually enhance?

30- 45 seconds max
I put the oysters in one of those strainer/fryer baskets and just lower them in

pretty good but honestly I have never had a cooked oyster that was better than raw out of the shell

Things will be like balls of rubber if you cook them for 30 min

They soak up the seasoning. Great flavor on a saltine with a little cocktail sauce.

I'm screwing with street rat on the OT.

I'm not a big fan of oysters in general, but boiled oysters are pretty tasty.
